I am a 47(1969) year old Indian woman who menopaused rather early at 41. I started taking synthetic cyclical hrt . I stopped HRT 18 months(July 2016) and now do not get any periods.

I have many symptoms of menopause including significant weight gain, night sweats, low libido etc. Can you pl advice as to what can be the starting dose for bih progesterone ? do i need estrogen? we have no Drs here in Oman who wd recommend Bihrt. so am on my own!

I take HRT but I had a really bad symptoms when my estrogen and progesterone dropped. Weight gain, fuzzy brain, my balance was off, wads of hair falling out, my digestive system was messed up and I couldn't get rid of an UTI. I don't think everyone needs hormone replacement but I do think everyone needs to be monitored and this monitoring should start when we are young adults so we know what our individual levels are not the generic levels stated in lab tests .

Yah it really works I've been taking it since I was 35 so I won't ever stop having my period, which I don't mind, I am hornier now like when I was 16, believe it, my Doc is so cool I am on Estradiol and Estrone, and it is put in a centrifuge, and they make it in my Drug Store, and my DHEA, and Estrogen levels are those of a 20-year-old. And the Bio's are made from Wild Yams, I read the Suzanne Somers book when I was like 27, cause I want to stay happy, and flexible and sexual forever.

Hi. How old are you? You look like you are still young and in your 40's. I was thin and sexy just like you and then I hit 51 and BAM. Fat waist, weight gain of 10lbs no matter how I eat or exercise (and believe me I am VERY STRICT and disciplined.)

totally agree with you, my aunts live in South america and they are on ages between. late 50s to middle 80s and they all used bioidentical hormones and they look amazing, they are very active, none ot them got cancer, never. I feel that in america they pushed the wrong drugs, and they totally dismiss healthy diet and natural alternative medicine. my doctors can't comprehend. how well i look, and my labs are awesome, without taking not medication at all. I am 46 and don't take anything just vitamins and natural hormonal creams.

Out of curiosity, are any of your boys hold any feminin characteristics by any chance? I'm trying to find out if either estrogen or progesterone are associated with gay children.

I don't get it. How are these bio-identical if they are just over-the-counter / bought on the internet products ?
Isn't bio-identical done for each individual by doing bloodwork and customizing it?

I am using a bioidentical cream that has progesterone made from wild yam. it doesn't say it has estrogen in it. will the progesterone pull out estrogen from other parts of the body ie fat around the middle. will my hormones get balanced without doing the saliva test to see where my hormones are at?

My major issue is my skin's been thinning rapidly. However I do have other issues that I've seen on some checklists on hormones (belly fat for first time in the last few years, weight problems, poor sleep, energy problems and even some mental decline and mood problems). Can hormone replacement therapy help with thinning skin? And does it actually reverse those other issues?

Could you please give me an idea of the costs of doing this? Start-up and then costs from there on, roughly speaking? I'm having trouble finding out on the Internet. I saw cost of the hormones were $85-$150 a month. About how many doctor visits to adjust them upfront will I need, and then on, on a yearly basis. I'm older than you, my hormones seem pretty stabilized at this point. I just want it for anti-aging, better skin, less aches and pains, cancer and dementia reduction.

Enjoying your journey and learning curve, sure helps.  I have a BHRT doctor and there is a national registry for trained doctors in Bio-Identical Hormone therapy, you just put in your zip code and all the doctors that also have training in BHRT in your area will come up.  It is easy to test your hormone levels and then get on the exact balance your body needs, they make them exactly to your bodies needs.  I like that.  Keep up the journey and videos and thanks for sharing both.

Good info. Hey, is there a natural supplement I could use as an appetite suppressant? I am struggling with being hungry too much of the time. My weight is ok, but I'd like a lower body fat percentage.  I eat pretty clean, but hungry a lot!  Any help is appreciated.
